It is a special case to record an interview with the musician of such a high level. His narration is full of wonderful energy and power, wisdom and love to music. Today our hero is a National Artist of Russia, Professor of Moscow Conservatory, a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre and an opera and symphony conductor Rafael Bagdasaryan.
In 1935 Sergei Prokofiev wrote a symphonic fairy-tale for kids “Peter and the Wolf”. All the characters of this composition were represented with the different instruments: Peter – the violin, the Cat – the clarinet, the part of the Grand-dad was “performed” by the bassoon. The thick, a bit throaty sound of the instrument perfectly imitates grunting.
